North East region jobs portal goes live

The site offers job seekers a single point of access to all Local Authority and Fire & Rescue vacancies in the whole of the North East region. From Northumberland, through Tyne & Wear and down to Teesside, all the partners have come together to provide the biggest system yet to be delivered by the Tribal e-Resourcing Team.

This is a totally unique system. Every partner organisation effectively has their own Tribal solution to manage vacancies and candidate recruitment processes. For the candidate, however, all vacancies are displayed together and applications can be made to any organisation from the single site.

Once a candidate has applied through the system, their subsequent applications can be made more quickly as the system remembers their previous application, irrespective of which organisation it was for.

Partner organisations are able to create an unlimited number of bespoke application forms within the system. Using a range of core modules, they can add in custom questions and custom modules to produce the whole application form specific to their requirements.

The original specification & design was developed in summer 2008, and the system was tested from the middle of November for a January launch.

We will be working with the partners to promote the system and increase the numbers of North East public and not-for-profit organisations who use it. A yearly membership will be paid to subscribe, providing the underpinning funding for hosting, support and ongoing SEO work.
