City of York Council goes live

City of York Council’s new job system and full ATS can be found at http://jobs.york.gov.uk.

From the moment job seekers land on this site, they can see the difference: set against many local authorities in the region, this job system immediately sets them apart.

The authority has total control over all the information pages here, truly enabling them to control their recruitment message.

The ATS offers all the latest functionality that Tribal e-Recruitment can offer including:

• Online Interview Slot selection for candidates
• Collation and sending of all Interview documents for the panel
• Integrated process to include access to Redeployment Pool prior to external advertising

There are also some new developments specifically for this system including:

• Online Referencing – referees are able to complete an online form meaning that references can be issued and received within minutes
• Any offline application forms are scanned by the Authority and sent automatically into Tribal to ensure 100% of applications are managed electronically
• Flash video including multiple language transcripts and a British Sign Language version – a first for a Tribal e-recruitment system.

This system is part of an authority-wide project called More for York and the authority are tasked with saving millions of pounds in the coming years; the Tribal ATS will form the bedrock of the transformation of HR and recruitment provision to this forward-thinking authority.
